For Parents of Missing Children

Beyond Missing, Inc.

Beyond Missing, a nationwide non-profit, helps in the search for missing children, specifically abducted youth, by providing law enforcement agencies with a secure, web-based system for the creation of missing children fliers, which are then distributed within a 200-mile radius from where the abduction took place. In addition, the organization has an on-line Parent Flyer Tool that allows parents to create and send by email or fax their own missing child fliers in english or spanish. The creation and distribution service offered by this organization is free.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC)

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) has worked since 1984 to prevent the abduction, endangerment, and sexual exploitation of youth. If a youth is a victim of such an act, the NCMEC, in conjunction with local and federal agencies, has various mechanisms to report and hopefully end such abuse and exploitation. Some of these include: a national clearinghouse to report information on missing and exploited children and a Cybertipline that can be utilized by those who suspect internet-related sexual exploitation. The NCMEC’s hotline is: 1-800-THE-LOST

Operation Lookout

Serving the United States and other countries, Operation Lookout focuses on the reunion of families and their children who have gone missing, have run away, or have been kidnapped. To achieve this, the agency has a 24-hour hotline, provides legal and service referrals and works with local authorities in the search of the missing child, among other strategies. Operation Lookout’s hotline is: 1-800-LOOKOUT

The Polly Klaas® Foundation is a national nonprofit that helps find missing children, prevents children from going missing, and promotes laws like Amber Alert that help keep children safe.  The foundation makes and distributes posters of missing children for families of missing children, and has a national eVolunteer force that distributes posters of missing children in their communities. The Polly Klaas foundation's hotline is 1-800-587-4357
